Who Is Jesus?
Jesus is the Son ofGod. Jesus is God. There are 3 deities in one supernatural person. God the Father+God the Son+God the Holy Spirit = 1 person, GOD.
More than 2,000 years ago. God sent his one and only Son Jesus Christ to us, he was BOTH 100% fully man AND 100% fully God. He became one of us, humbly. He related to us, and us to him.
So why did he come? Because God already knew we were going to mess up, right from the start. He already had the plan of our salvation made. To send Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin, our sin, to be a sacrifice and die a physical death to take our punishment upon himself. His blood bought us our salvation. So that anyone who believes in their heart and says with their mouth, that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior will be saved. That means we have been adopted as sons and daughters by God. He is our Father and we will get to spend eternity with him.
Now. Let this sink in. WE are children of the KING OF THE UNIVERSE.
Now. When Jesus died, nailed to the cross. His body was placed in a tomb and a boulder stone rolled in front of it. Three days later, when a few women went to check the tomb. The boulder was aside, and the tomb EMPTY. He’s Not There! Because, as it is written, death could not hold him, he arose from the dead.
So you see. The son man ( God in human flesh) came to seek and save the lost. That’s us. Jesus loves to bring the lost into his kingdom, regardless of our background or previous way of life. Through faith, the lost can be forgiven and made new.
