Dear Father, let the words I speak to my friends and family be encouraging. I don’t want to bring them down with a negative outlook. Show me how to uplift and minister to others during our conversations. I come before you today to pray for [friend’s name] today. I ask for peace as they face [situation]. Give them wisdom and discernment as they need it. Let them feel Your love surrounding them. Please comfort (your friend’s name). Let them feel Your presence and peace, no matter what they face this week. Comfort them with Your love.

Dear Father, when I need comfort, help me remember that You’re holding onto me. Let me rest peacefully in Your arms. Help me to depend on You for my strength. Turn my eyes toward You. I want to be a sweet blessing to others when the storms around me rage; help me to look to You for peace. Quiet the storm in my heart and comfort this frail child of Yours. I want You to be my refuge, the place where I retreat each day. Show me how to walk in peace so I can shine Your love on others.

Sometimes, it’s hard to extend grace to people who have hurt me. When I’m clinging to anger and resentment, remind me again of how much You love this person. Put someone in my path that I can show grace to today. Help me not to be so focused on my to-do list that I miss them. Thank You for the grace You extend to me. I don’t deserve it, but I’m oh so grateful. Wrap me in Your arms of mercy today.

Dear Father, I come before you today to lay my worries down because I know you will comfort me. I know you will keep me from being broken. Your word tells me not to worry about tomorrow, but I confess that sometimes I do. Please help me remember that tomorrow will worry about itself, and every day can have troubles. I pray that my eyes always be focused on you, knowing your unfailing love and comfort will bring me through any troubles that head my way.

Praying Scripture— Psalm 51
Psalm 51 is about repentance. And you can literally pray this word for word when you want to ask for repentance— NASB.
1 Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithfulness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion, wipe out my wrongdoings.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my guilt
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my wrongdoings,
And my sin is constantly before me.
4 Against You, You only, I have sinned
And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak
And blameless when You judge.5 Behold, I was brought forth in guilt,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
And in secret You will make wisdom known to me.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
Cleanse me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness,
Let the bones You have broken rejoice.

Dear Father, I come before you today to lay my worries down because I know you will comfort me. I know you will keep me from being broken. Your word tells me not to worry about tomorrow, but I confess that sometimes I do. Please help me remember that tomorrow will worry about itself, and every day can have troubles. I pray that my eyes always be focused on you, knowing your unfailing love and comfort will bring me through any troubles that head my way.

Praying Scripture— Psalm 51
Psalm 51 is about repentance. And you can literally pray this word for word when you want to ask for repentance— NASB.
1 Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithfulness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion, wipe out my wrongdoings.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my guilt
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my wrongdoings,
And my sin is constantly before me.
4 Against You, You only, I have sinned
And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak
And blameless when You judge.5 Behold, I was brought forth in guilt,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
And in secret You will make wisdom known to me.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
Cleanse me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness,
Let the bones You have broken rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins
And wipe out all my guilty deeds.10 Create in me a clean heart, God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And sustain me with a willing spirit.
13 Then I will teach wrongdoers Your ways,
And sinners will be converted to You.14 Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God, the God of my salvation;
Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.
15 Lord, open my lips,
So that my mouth may declare Your praise.
16 For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it;
You do not take pleasure in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise.18 By Your favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then bulls will be offered on Your altar.In Jesus’ Name,
