Fruit Of The Spirit Affirmations— Peace
Continuing on in our look at each of the fruits of the Holy Spirit and how affirming them cultivates intentional mindfulness within us.
Affirmations are a statement intended to provide encouragement, emotional support, or motivation,
In Philippians 4:8, Paul gives us instructions on what we should think or meditate about.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.Philippians 4:8— NLT
According to Wikipedia, In common language usage, “fruit” usually means the seed-associated fleshy structures (or produce) of plants that typically are sweet or sour and edible. The fruits of the Spirit are fine points that should naturally grow out of the proceedings of the Holy Spirit in our life.
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23— NLT
Fruits of the Spirit affirmations are based upon Scripture to inspire us to cultivate the fruits of the Spirit in our daily lives. The word “Spirit” in these affirmations will be capitalized because these are fruits given to us by the Holy Spirit, not ourselves.
The fruits of the Spirit are:
Each affirmation consists of scriptures, positive affirmations, and questions to motivate you to go deeper in meditation and study time.
Say the affirmations and scriptures out loud as you work through the study.
The world is uncertain. Jobs and the economy are not secure. Marriages, at times, crumble. Many neighborhoods aren’t safe. There is drought, famine, floods, and much more.
But where does this uncertainty leave us? Sometimes— but not always— we might want to crawl under a rock and just hide, cocooning ourselves safely inside.
Imagine this: A raging ocean with waves crashing on a craggy and rocky coastline. Ocean spray spraying into the sky. Churning waves and black and gray storm clouds fill the sky above. But, suddenly, you see something, squinting now. Your eyes are drawn to two rocks leaning against one another, fashioning an opening there was a white form. Could it be? To your amazement, it’s a slumbering seabird, nestled in its nest, safe from the storm because of the shelter of the rock. The little bird was at peace, although a storm raged around her.
Here are affirmations and verses about peace to help you learn about the real peace the Spirit offers us and through us.
Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]John 14:27— AMP
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.Jamen 3:18— HCSB
Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.Colossians 3:15— NASB
The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:11— NIVPsalm 29:11— NIV

I think I lead a honest life and have a lot of compassion for people who are less fortunate then I, but I am not religious.

Beautiful and encouraging Scriptures. May we stay connected to the Vine so our lives bear the fruit of His peace.
Oh this is beautiful, Paula. The times of truly experiencing His peace are life-altering. So grateful that it’s available to us as God’s children and not something we have to drum up on our own.

It is so important to meditate on each aspect of God’s Spirit. And if there’s something we need today, it’s definitely His peace. Love the Scripture passages, Paula. Thanks for sharing.

I used to rarely have peace – it took me forever to fall asleep at night because I’d worry, over-think, try to unravel problems that I really couldn’t unravel, to go over hurts – so much stuff that stole my peace. Once I learned to trust God and understand the peace He offered me, I get in bed and am out like a light – unless He keeps me awake with a call to prayer! Thank you this beautiful peace offering, Paula! What an important reminder about resting in God’s peace! Shalom, my friend!
