The Shepherds Visit

For a bright light appeared.

And they saw an angel of the Lord,

with the glory of God shown all around.

They were afraid, for they had never

seen such a sight. The angel of the Lord

said to them, don’t be afraid, I bring great news.

I have great news to tell you— News that will

bring great joy to the world.

Today in the town of David, the Savior

of the world has been born. The Messiah!

God will show you the way. Follow his

star.

You will find him wrapped in cloths lying

in a manger. Just as sudden and startling

A host of angels appeared. They praised God

saying “ Glory to God in the highest heaven,

and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

So they hurried, following the star. Where they

were lead to Bethlehem to see the child

the Lord told them about.

When they saw him, they spread the word

about what they had been told about the

Child.

Meanwhile, Mary took it to heart and pondered

these things.

When the shepherds returned they glorified

and praised God for the things they had seen

and heard, just as they had been told.

Hosanna! Hallelujah! Praise and Glory to our

Lord In the highest!
